Chronic Post Surgical Pain is a pain arising after surgery. The body contains millions and millions of nerve fibers and many so small they cannot be well seen by the eye. During any type of surgery, one of these very small nerves can be damaged and thus produce pain. Rarely is this pain a result of error or complication on the part of the surgeon.
