Herniated Discs

Herniated Discs

Herniated Discs are common causes of neck, thoracic and lower back pains. The term herniated typically means the inner jelly material of a disc has herniated outward. Other types of disc pathology include bulging discs and protruding discs. The end result is the same – typically pain caused by compression on a spinal nerve around the affected disc. The most common treatment for herniated disc is rest, NSAIDs, medications and epidural steroid injections.
