Aliene Downs, FNP-BC

Aliene started as a registered nurse in the hospital setting in 1984. She worked in various areas of the hospital including pediatrics, telemetry, ICU, PACU, outpatient surgery, and the emergency department. 

She received her BSN in nursing from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 1995. The following year, she received her MSN in nursing from UMMC, with an advanced nursing practice certification in family practice.

She is board certified and credentialed through American Nurses Credentialing Center and is a member of the Mississippi Nurses Association. In 2001, she was active in the development of Greenwood Pain Management, where she was employed until 2022. 

Aliene has lived in Mississippi all her life and is married to her high school sweetheart. She has two children and 5 grandchildren. She enjoys trips to the beach with her family, attending the various extracurricular activities of her grandchildren, and country living. She has several fur babies, who demand a lot of her time and attention.
